Class begins with one hour of drawing instruction followed by a 3-hour session
with a live model. Students enrolled in the class will get plenty of 1:1 feedback
from the instructor during the live model session.
Other artists may attend the live model sessions for a $16 per session per person fee,
but will not receive instruction. Class meets on Saturdays 9:00am-1:15pm; live model seesion
10:15am-1:15pm. We're always looking for good, reliable models.

Live nude model poses the same long pose for a series of 3 consecutive Wednesday afternoons from 1-4pm.
September-May. Mix of gender, races and ages. Artists are responsible to bring own easel, drawing horse
or sculpture stand, which can be stored on site if artist is a regular. To sign up for the uninstructed
sessions, we utilize an online system called SignUpGenius. The system allows artists to sign up for one
or more of the sessions in a given series. There is a flat fee of $20 (non-refundable, non-transferable)

Drop-in figure drawing in the classroom at the back of the store. Tables, chairs, some boards, horses and easels are available.
Cost depends on number in attendance; $10-30 sliding scale (1/2 price for students).
• 1st and 3rd Saturdays 3:30-6:30pm. Extremely Short Narrative Gestures. Minimally clothed, based on improv topics.
• Sundays 10:30am-1:30pm. Nude poses range from 2-20 minutes. Double model pose every first Sunday in March, June, September,
December for $20-60 sliding scale (1/2 price for students). Double model poses range from 5-60 minutes. We aim to include models of
all gender, size, ethnicity, etc.
Parking is provided up to 2 free hours in the lot across the street by using the kiosk and entering the code: 2021 and placing the
printed ticket on their dashboard. Any parking beyond the free 2 hour period must be paid or moved to street parking.
A&C is not responsible for any parking tickets incurred while in the store.

These live model sessions offer light instruction to help you develop the
timeless techniques for drawing the human form. No requirements or prerequisites.
We offer professional feedback at the level you want. The instructor's ten years
of teaching experience shapes a gentle but powerful session, presenting careful
observation and realism as a grammar for the expressive poetry and visual
experiment of art. $15 per session; $65 for 5 sessions; $120 for 10 sessions.

Figure Drawing and many other drawing classes offered. In Pratt's drawing classes,
offered from beginner to advanced levels, students work with a variety of subjects,
including the figure and still life. Basic drawing students work with pencil and charcoal,
learning to use line, value and perspective, while intermediate students learn to
integrate other media into their work, including pen, ink, and watercolor,
to create more complex images.

Poses range from 30 second warm ups to 20 minute drawings, with 1 minute, 5 minute,
and 10 minute poses in between. We provide stool, and benches and chairs on request.
