Drawing from Life. This class focuses on the fundamental principles
of drawing using media such as charcoal and pencil. Drawings will
be based on in-class observations. The class also provides an overview
of the drawing process as a form of visual thinking in relation
to rendering. Students will draw from direct observation and create
still life, perspective, and portrait/figure drawings.

Despite the name, you don't have to be an alumnus.
Tuesdays 6:00-9:00pm. Short poses (2-25 minutes) with a (usually) nude model. Cost is $7.
(Parking in the parking structure is another $7.) A variety of easels, tables, and benches are provided.
Quiet group with no talking during poses. We do not meet between Christmas and New Year's.

The Indianapolis Figure Guild (IFG) holds figure drawing sessions for three hours on the 2nd and 4th Sundays each month.
Artists of all skill levels are welcome to join our non-instructed, open studio figure drawing class with a live nude model.
The poses range from 1 minute for gestural work to longer studies from 5 minutes to 25+.
Each session is $10 and artists must bring their own easels and supplies. Cash only.
Walk-ins are permitted; information for times can be found on our Facebook group page.

Ongoing figure drawing sessions held twice weekly, Monday and Thursday evenings 6:00-9:00pm.
Both sessions start with a half hour of 5-minute warm-up poses.
Sessions intended for professional and amateur artists and students. Models are nude.
Monday sessions are 40/45-minute poses; Thursday sessions are 25-minute poses.
Last Monday of each month offers one long pose.
Charge for drawers is $3 per hour (cash) to cover model fee (tip jar for model).
On hand are: easels, drawing boards & horses, painting tables, chairs.
Atmosphere is casual with music playing.
