Drawing New York hosts several drawing session a week. Session are uninstructed figure drawing,
instructed still life classes and costumed live model sessions. We meet in a few locations
around the Union Square in Manhattan and also in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. All levels are welcome.
Artist and students should bring their own drawing supplies or watercolors. Chairs, tables and

is designed to give artists of all levels a strategy in approaching
drawing and painting of the human form. While the techniques taught
will be classical in nature, there will be room for creativity.
We begin by learning to convert the great masses of the body into
specific shapes, using both linear contour and structural building
blocks. Different types of classical proportions will be discussed,
as well as different methods of measuring in a perceptual manner.
One of the main goals of this course is to teach the artist to see

Bargue's Drawing Course with Tom Rojek. Learn a classical approach
to drawing. A highly intensive course designed for adults wanting
to further their artistic development and high school students applying
for art schools. This 7 week course meets on Wednesday nights for
2 hours. Three sessions are offered throughout the year: Fall, Winter and Spring.

On the third Thursday of February, March and April between 6:00-8:00pm, students and the public are invited to
participate in figure drawing at the Burchfield Penney Art Center. Artists are responsible for bringing their own
supplies, and instructors will be available at each session. All skill levels are welcome.
$8 general, $5 members, $3 for college students with i.d.
